1. Who this policy covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Breezy Beach LLC (“Breezy,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Breezy website, app, and services (the “Service”). It applies to customers and to people who apply to be runners.
2. Information we collect
- Account information. Your email address and a password you create. Passwords are stored in hashed form by our authentication provider; we do not see your plain-text password.
- Booking information. The gear you select, quantities, your chosen date and time (or on-demand request), and the payment status of your order.
- Precise location. The specific spot on the beach you drop a pin on, expressed as latitude/longitude coordinates. This is precise geolocation, and we collect it so a runner can find you. We collect it only when you set a booking location — Breezy does not track your location in the background.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by Square. Square handles your card details directly; Breezy receives confirmation of payment status (such as paid or refunded) but does not receive or store your full card number.
- Communications. Emails you send us and the transactional emails we send you (confirmations, cancellations, refunds).
- Technical & usage data. Standard log and device information generated when you use the Service, such as request logs and session cookies needed to keep you signed in (see our Cookie Notice).
- Runner applicants. If you apply to be a runner, the information you submit in the application.
3. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- To take payment, fulfill your booking, and issue refunds.
- To route your booking and precise location to the runner assigned to serve you.
- To send transactional messages about your bookings (confirmation, runner assignment, cancellation, refund).
- To operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service, and to comply with legal obligations.
4. How we share your information
We share personal information only as described here:
- Runners. The runner assigned to your booking receives the details needed to serve you, including your booked gear and your precise drop-pin location.
- Service providers. We use trusted vendors to run the Service — including Square (payment processing) and Supabase (database hosting and authentication). They process information on our behalf under their own terms and security commitments.
- Legal & safety. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Breezy, our users, runners, or the public.
- Business transfers. If Breezy is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, and afterward as needed to comply with legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to: know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it; request access to or a copy of your information; request correction of inaccurate information; request deletion of your information; and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Because we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is nothing to opt out of on that front. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@itsbreezybeach.com. We will verify your request (typically by confirming control of your account email) before acting on it.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and make material changes reasonably prominent.
